Afrobeat prince, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has broken the silence regarding rumors of his alleged beef with his senior colleague and Afrobeat icon Davido.

In an interview with foreign journalist and DJ Ebro, the “Calm Down” singer talked about the alleged feud he had with Omo Baba Olowo.

Rema cleared the air, stating that there was no bad blood between him and Davido.

After rumors that Davido had slapped him at the BBNaija 2020 finale, which was won by reality TV star Laycon, Rema was seen venting online in 2020.

Note that Davido and Rema both performed at the BBNaija season 5 finale, however reports that made the rounds alleged that Laycon and fellow housemates wanted to take selfies with Rema but his bouncers ignored them.

However, this made Davido pissed off telling Rema that he should be humble and during the process Rema allegedly received slap from the DMW boss.

Rema has since refuted claims that he and Davido have a history of animosity.

He claimed in the interview that he has always respected artists of all generations including those who came before him.

Rema claimed that everything was just a rumor, and he added that he has the utmost respect for his senior colleagues.

In his words “I have so much respect for the Og’s, I do not want to look for no one’s trouble. I only want to make good music. I’m introverted I don’t want to fight.”

The “Calm Dow” hitmaker added that Afrobeats artists have done well to promote peace among one another.

Rema said though they have egos and achievements, but the unity among them has kept them going for a very long time even when the fans started moving mad. Watch the video below;
