Tellaman Quick Bio and Achievements.

Growing up in a Christian religious family, Tellaman had a privillege of having parents who pay close attention to what he was good at.
His mother has been his biggest influence when it comes to himpursuing music as a career other than just a hobby or something he does in church.

Tellaman started out recording music in 2006 when he was just 15 years old. His succes is mainly as a result of consustency and his art of perfectionism that he grew up with.

Around that time he got featured in the compilation album titled ‘Sould Candi Session 15’ alongside MoFlava, Lulo Cafe, Cuebur and Hareal Salko.
This happend after he was signed under Soul Candi Records.

His biggest moment of fame came after releasing a hit song titled ‘Drinks and Music’ which featured the South African rapper Okmalumkoolkat off the project ‘Ntsikelelo’.

He has worked with many other big names in South African Hiphop scene including Nasty C, Lastee, Dj Kwesta, Dj Speedsta, J’Something and many more.

Tellaman has been nominated for a number of awards including Best Compilation Award in 2015 at the Metro FM Awards.
His swag and style of rhymes has taken his brand international and earned him a title of the Price of Durban Hiphop.

Apart from being a rapper, he is also a song writer and record producer.

In early 2019 he was named as Apple Music’s first Pan- African artist spotlight.

Tellaman Age, Real Name and Family Background.

Thelumusa Samuel Owen popularly known as Tellaman was born on 14th April 1991 in Durban South African.
All of his early life and school was spent in Durban.

He grew up in a musical Christian family where his mother was the leader of church Choir.

Tellaman Music Career and Record Label.

After ditching his dream of becoming a soccer player, Tellaman decided to follow what was engrained in him from birth; music.
While still in high school he finally made a decision to record his first track in a professional music studio.

With a background of music, though it was a church youth Choir, he managed to rise to the occasion and spit rhymes that would make you dance, sing along, pace or just sit down, listen and meditate.
It is clear that Tellaman was made for this.

His undeniable talent, discipline and a cult-like fans are what kept him going hard when he was still an underground rapper in Durban.

In 2016 he dropped an EP titled ‘Mind VS Heart’ released under Select Play Music.
It was followed by another EP ‘Lucid Dreams’ which was released in early 2017 under his label Tellaman Music.

The production team was made up of him, Gabbla and Nasty C.

Tellaman’s fourth album dropped on february 2019 titled ‘God Decides’ with a lead single titled’Whipped’ featuring Nasty C and Shekhinah.
The album was his first project under his new label, Universal Music Group Africa.

Tellaman Essence Music Festival.

In mid 2019, Tellaman, the prince of Durban together with Nasty C representes South Africa in the Essence music festival held in New Orleans USA.

With an international stage like that, they had an opportunity to share a stage with other big stars like Lil Nas X, Mitchelle Obama and Missy Elliot.

Tellaman and Nasty C are undoubtedly very close friends who will keep on working together and soon bring us some hits.

Tellaman got into the limelight at a young age when he was still all over the place interms od his dating life.

Rowlene was his Girlfriend at some point before getting in an entanglement with his alleged new Girlfriend Nandi Mbatha.

After a dramaric break up with Rowlene, Tellaman was single for a while or trying to keep his love life under the radar.
He then fell in love with Isithembiso actress Nandi Mbatha. The two are alleged to Have parted ways in 2020.

Nandi Mbatha is rumkred to still be dating Mpho Motsi at the moment.
